Does it ship to Hungary?
Updated
Being inside the EU and on every major courier network makes Hungary an easy address: most of the big names run a Hungarian site in forint rather than merely shipping here. The interesting part is not who delivers but on what terms — who includes the import charges, who leaves them at your door, and the handful who skip the country altogether.
| Store | Known for | Ships to Hungary? | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Amazon.de | Everything | ✅ Yes | There is no Amazon Hungary — amazon.hu redirects to Amazon Germany, and amazon.de has its own Hungary rate block: €5.99 per delivery plus €0.99/kg on media or €2.99/kg on everything else, free over €49, 5–7 working days. It is an EU order, so no customs. Marketplace sellers set their own rates. |
| Amazon.com | Everything (US) | ✅ Yes | Hungary is an AmazonGlobal destination. Europe rates start at $9.99 a shipment, standard delivery "as fast as 15 days". Amazon charges an estimated import-tax-and-fees amount at checkout, so the parcel is not held for charges on arrival. |
| eBay | Marketplace | ⚠️ Some items | Seller by seller: each listing shows the service, where it ships from and the destinations it covers. Whether import charges are paid at checkout or on delivery depends on which eBay shipping programme the seller uses. |
| Etsy | Handmade / vintage | ⚠️ Some items | Every shop sets its own delivery list and prices, so filter by what ships to Hungary. Etsy is explicit that the buyer is generally responsible for duties and clearance fees, unless it has to collect the tax at checkout. |
| AliExpress | Marketplace (China) | ⚠️ Some items | Runs a Hungarian view in forint, with free shipping over 3,500 Ft on many items. Cost and time are per seller; picking a seller with an EU warehouse avoids the import step entirely. Whether import charges are settled at checkout is not stated on its own help pages. |
| Temu | Budget goods | ✅ Yes | A Hungarian site pricing in forint. Free standard shipping above a minimum order of 3,500 Ft on a first order and 5,250 Ft afterwards, 1–3 days to process. Its terms say EU prices include VAT and all customs-related duties, taxes and fees. |
| Shein | Fast fashion | ✅ Yes | Hungary is named among its served markets on its own European delivery page. There is no hu.shein.com, and the shipping cost and delivery window could not be read: the ship-to selector demands a bot check. |
| ASOS | Fashion (UK) | ✅ Yes | Delivers to Hungary from asos.com in euro: Standard Delivery €6.50, free over €55, and Next-Day Delivery €20.00, both subject to the order cut-off times shown at checkout. Read on Sunday 11 October 2026, the page promised standard delivery by Friday 16 October. It shows a Hungarian returns policy, and on charges it is clear: customs and import duties, where they apply, are charged when the parcel reaches the country. |
| Zara | Fashion | ✅ Yes | A full Hungarian store at zara.com/hu in forint: 890 Ft to a home address in 2–3 working days (or 3–5 by Magyar Posta), 2,995 Ft for 1–2 working days, and free delivery to a Zara store. |
| H&M | Fashion | ✅ Yes | A Hungarian store at hm.com in forint: 495 Ft to a Foxpost locker or a DPD parcel point in 3–4 working days, free click-and-collect in store in 4–5. Delivery only to Hungarian addresses, and only to adults. |
| Next | Fashion (UK) | ✅ Yes | A Hungarian storefront in forint: 1,200 Ft an order, free over 15,500 Ft, normally 3–4 working days. Its terms of sale to Hungarian customers are delivery duty paid — the price includes all duties, taxes and clearance fees. |
| IKEA | Furniture / home | ✅ Yes | A Hungarian store at ikea.com/hu. Delivery starts at 3,490 Ft and scales with the order (a small parcel is 2,990 Ft over 20,000 Ft), deliveries within 10 working days, click-and-collect from 290 Ft. Home delivery needs an order over 2,000 Ft. |
| Decathlon | Sport | ✅ Yes | A Hungarian store at decathlon.hu. GLS from 1,490 Ft up to 10 kg, Magyar Posta from 1,790 Ft, cash on delivery 590 Ft more; order by 19:00 Monday to Thursday and eligible items arrive the next working day. |
| Zalando | Fashion (EU) | ✅ Yes | A Hungarian store at zalando.hu: standard delivery free over 7,990 Ft, otherwise 990 Ft, to a home address or a GLS parcel point. The delivery window is quoted per order at checkout rather than on the help page. |
| Notino | Beauty / fragrance | ✅ Yes | A Hungarian store at notino.hu: 590 Ft to a Notino pickup point, 850 Ft to Packeta, DPD Pickup or FoxPost, 990 Ft to a home address, 200 Ft more for cash on delivery. |
| Back Market | Refurbished tech | ❌ No | The one genuine gap on this list. Back Market runs 16 country sites and Hungary is not one of them; backmarket.hu does not exist, and its own help page says sellers generally ship only within the country of the site you ordered from. |
Delivery policies and prices change often — treat this as a starting point and confirm at checkout. Every row was read from the retailer’s own delivery or help page. Rows verified September 2026.
The line that actually matters: EU or not
Ordering from anywhere inside the EU — Germany, Poland, Czechia, Ireland — means no customs and no extra VAT: the price shown is the price paid. Ordering from outside it means 27% Hungarian VAT on everything, the €3 customs duty per item that replaced the old €150 allowance in July 2026, and Magyar Posta’s own fee for clearing the parcel if the seller did not settle the charges at checkout. Two stores on this list take that problem away by charging import fees up front: Amazon.com collects an estimated amount at checkout, and Next sells to Hungary duty paid.
When a store won’t ship here
The gaps are narrow enough to route around. The usual three: buy from the retailer’s German or Polish site instead, where one exists and delivers here; buy the same item from a marketplace seller who does ship to Hungary; or use a parcel-forwarding address in a country the store does serve. Forwarding adds a leg of postage and, from outside the EU, does nothing to avoid the import charges — the parcel still arrives from wherever it was last posted.
Before you order
Once you have found a store that delivers, run the numbers with the import cost calculator and read the import charges guide, which has Magyar Posta’s fee band by band, so nothing surprises you at the door.
You can also search across marketplaces on OroScout and filter to offers that ship to your country.
