How We Rank Results
Our ranking algorithm is designed around one principle: show you the best result, not the most profitable one.
Step 1 — Relevance
We remove anything that doesn't match your search. Wrong brand, wrong category, wrong gender — gone. Most importantly, we remove all sponsored results. We strip those out entirely before you see anything.
Step 2 — Rating
Higher-rated products rank higher. A 4.8-star product beats a 3.2-star product every time, regardless of which marketplace it came from or what commission we earn on it.
Step 3 — Review Count
A rating from 10,000 reviews is more trustworthy than one from 12 reviews. We use review count as a confidence signal, scaled logarithmically so established products don't completely drown out newer ones.
Step 4 — Price
All else being equal, lower price ranks higher. Simple.
Step 5 — Free Shipping
Products with free shipping get a small ranking boost. The total cost to you matters, not just the listed price.
What about commission?
We earn affiliate commissions when you buy through our links — that's how we keep the lights on. But commission rates do not affect ranking. A product earning us 7% commission does not rank above a product earning us 1%. Commission is used only as a final tiebreaker when two products are otherwise identical in every ranking dimension — a situation that almost never happens in practice.
