How We Rank Results

Our ranking is designed around one principle: show you the best result, not the most profitable one. These factors are weighed together into a single score — here they are, biggest first.

Match quality comes first

How well a listing matches your words is the biggest factor by far. A product named in its title outranks one that only mentions your words in seller tags, and exact matches lead. We remove sponsored placements, listings that can't ship to your country, and digital files pretending to be products. Accessories and spare parts are held back when you searched for the product itself, and so are listings whose own store category says they are a different kind of product than you searched for. Results that only partly match appear separately, below the main results.

Best value among comparable results

Price is compared against similar results in your search, in one currency, including shipping where the store discloses it. Cheaper ranks higher — but cheaper for the same kind of thing, not cheapest junk first. Suspiciously cheap outliers earn no extra boost.

Reputation, honestly handled

Where a marketplace provides ratings or seller scores, we use them — weighted by how many reviews stand behind them. Retail chains we vet before listing are trusted by default. A store that simply doesn't publish ratings is treated as unknown, never as bad.

Popularity, within each store

Where stores share sales counts, views or favourites, popular items rank a little higher — but only compared within that same store, so one store's big numbers can never drown out another's.

Delivery speed

Items with fast, known delivery to your country get a small boost. Discounts are shown as stores declare them, but they only affect ranking once our own daily price records confirm the price really dropped.

Product images

Listings without a product photo rank lower. You shouldn't have to guess what you're buying — a listing that can't show you the product is a worse experience and a weaker trust signal.

What about commission?

We earn affiliate commissions when you buy through our links — that's how we keep the lights on. But commission plays no part in ranking. None. A product earning us 7% commission does not rank above a product earning us 1%, and commission is not used as a tiebreaker either — it simply isn't an input to the ordering at all.

Converted prices are approximate and based on daily exchange rates.

When purchasing from a foreign marketplace, your bank or credit card may charge additional foreign transaction fees.
