Czechia import cost calculator
Updated
Buying from abroad and having it sent to Czechia? The price on the shop page is rarely the price you pay. Enter the figures in koruna, exactly as the shop quotes them, and see the real landed cost, with customs duty, 21% Czech VAT and the clearance fee included.
The EU sets its thresholds in euro, so the arithmetic below runs in euro and each line shows the euro figure underneath. Converted at €1 ≈ 24.36 Kč (European Central Bank reference rate, 2026-10-14); customs applies the rate fixed for the month, so treat every koruna figure here as approximate.

Estimate only. The thresholds are set in euro, not koruna: on 1 July 2026 the EU ended the duty-free allowance on consignments under €150 and replaced it, until 1 July 2028, with a €3 duty per item. VAT is charged on goods + shipping + insurance (+ the duty); above €150 the duty depends on the exact product and the parcel needs a full customs declaration. From 1 November 2026 the EU handling fee of €2 per item is included, for one item. Koruna figures here are converted at the day’s ECB reference rate and are approximate: customs uses the rate fixed for the month. Always confirm with Czech Post, the Customs Administration or the carrier before you buy.
How the estimate works
Orders shipped from outside the EU are imports. Czechia charges 21% VAT on goods from outside the EU whatever their value, calculated on the goods plus shipping and insurance, plus customs duty. Up to €150 (roughly 3,700Kč at today’s rate, an orientation, not the rule) the duty is a flat €3 per item, counted by kind of goods; above it, the tariff rate for that product applies and a full declaration is needed. Czech Post then charges its own fee for clearing the parcel, except when the seller collected the VAT at checkout. Orders from inside the EU already include VAT and carry no customs duty at all.
From 1 November 2026 the estimate also adds the EU handling fee of €2 per item, with VAT on it, to every order from outside the EU.
Duty rates vary by the exact product, so the category options here are indicative starting points: see the full import charges guide for the detail, including Czech Post’s fees, and check which stores actually ship to Czechia before you order.
